Nico's Monaco Blog: Friday
Posted on Saturday 23 May 2009 and tagged with rosberg, monaco.
To call the Friday of Monaco a ‘Rest Day’ is a bit of a misnomer because everyone at Williams was hard at work today. I allowed myself a lie-in following the team party on Thursday night, but that was the extent of my resting.I had engineering meetings at the track; I had to do some media interviews and this evening I took part in the Amber Fashion show. It was good fun, although I’m not cut out for modelling because I got quite nervous before walking out onto the catwalk to model Petra Ecclestone’s latest collection! At least there were a few other drivers – Webber, Vettel, Jenson, Piquet and Lewis – suffering with me.
The evening raised a lot of money for charity and it was fun to see a few stars from other walks of life enjoying themselves. I spotted Liz Hurley in the crowd, plus Elton John’s partner David Furnish and the English comedian David Walliams.
Afterwards, it was a case of grabbing a bit to eat and then heading home to bed. There will be no lie-ins tomorrow because I have a press breakfast with the Italian media in the motorhome.

14th for Nico, DNF for Rubens. Not the best day for the team, but we'll be back fighting in Monza! Well done Lewis, Mark and Robert!
