Kazuki Nakajima could be seen clock-watching during the post-race debrief this afternoon. He was going to watch Barcelona play Villareal at the Nou Camp this evening, start time 7pm, and he didn’t want to be late. To learn more about his experience, take a look at Kazuki’s Sunday blog.
The only way to stay ahead in motor racing is to get up earlier than everyone else. So said 1978 World Champion Mario Andretti, and it’s advice that Nico Rosberg has taken to heart. “I used to get up at about 1030,” he says, “but I’ve changed my ways this year. I now get up at 0700 and immediately go out training.”
No-one, it seems, is excluded from this tough economic climate. After leading his eponymous team to an historic one-two in today’s Spanish Grand Prix, Ross Brawn was spotted flying home to Luton on EasyJet. However, he did allow himself the luxury of buying ‘Speedy Boarding’. What luxury!
Fernando Alonso’s relative lack of success this year had a negative impact on ticket sales at today’s Spanish Grand Prix. The raceday crowd of 90,000 was more than 50,000 down on two years ago, but at least it made getting in and out of the track much easier!
