While AT&T Williams was sweating buckets in the Bahrain desert, the team’s head of communications was slogging his guts out in the London Marathon. Liam Clogger completed the 26-mile course in just over four hours, while raising money for Barnardo’s. Attaboy!

The 36-degree ambient in Bahrain took its toll on the drivers. Fernando Alonso drove the entire race with a malfunctioning water bottle and then fainted at the feet of Nico Rosberg in parc ferme. Luckily, Fernando was back on his feet and recovering within a few minutes.

Jenson Button wasn’t the only winner in Bahrain this afternoon. David Merlini, the renowned Hungarian escape artist, broke a world record prior to the start when he stayed submerged in a tank of water on the start-finish straight for 29m29s. On a single breath!

While Jenson Button storms from one F1 win to the next, his Brawn GP team-mate Rubens Barrichello is heading for even greater heights. The Brazilian has paid $200,000 to fly into space aboard Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic project. “It’s something I’ve always dreamt of doing,” said Rubens.
