Kazuki's Chinese Blog: Thursday

The Chinese Grand Prix feels like a second home race for me. A lot of Japanese fans make the short journey from Japan, so there is quite a lot of support for me in the grandstands.
I haven’t been back to Europe since the last race, the Malaysian Grand Prix; I went to Japan for the first time in four months and enjoyed some of my mother’s cooking. I also attended the re-opening of Suzuka Circuit, which has been given a big re-vamp over the last 12 months. All of the infrastructure surrounding the racetrack is new, from the pit garages to the grandstands, and it looks great. It was my first visit to the track since I last raced there in 2005 and it was good to be back.
Now, though, I’m focused on Shanghai. It’s a circuit I like and I think the FW31 should go well. I think a lot of the cars in the pitlane will have new parts – including ours – and it will be interesting to see if the running order is the same as it was in Malaysia. I’m confident that it will be, so I can’t wait to get started.
