Kazuki's Melbourne Blog: Friday
Posted on Saturday 28 Mar 2009 and tagged with Kazuki, Australia.
I don’t want to read too much into today’s practice times, but I will say that AT&T Williams have had a positive day. We went through our usual Friday programme, with the result that Nico topped the times in both sessions and I was second and seventh. My only drama of the day was a right rear puncture during the first practice session. I made it back to the pits okay and suffered no other damage, so it wasn’t a big problem, except for the fact that I had to use a new set of tyres earlier than planned.
Do I think we can set the pace again in qualifying? That might be tough, particularly with the pace of the Brawn cars, but I hope I can start the race higher than 13th, which is where I started at Albert Park last year.
With the late start of the practice sessions, I didn’t leave the track until 10pm this evening, so I ate dinner in the hospitality area and went straight to bed when I got back to the hotel. Not very rock ‘n’ roll!

14th for Nico, DNF for Rubens. Not the best day for the team, but we'll be back fighting in Monza! Well done Lewis, Mark and Robert!
