Kazuki's Japanese Blog: Saturday

I think 14th is a realistic grid position for me. I’ve been higher up the order in all the practice sessions this weekend, but you never know what the other teams are doing. The layout of Fuji Speedway was never going to be the best for the FW30 and my qualifying position reflects that.
On a more positive note, I’m pleased with how I’ve been driving this weekend. This is a very technical track, on which you have to be very gentle with the car, and I think I’ve extracted the maximum from the car. My experience here from the junior formulas has helped and I’ve been quicker than Nico in every session.
Away from the racetrack, it’s been busy-busy-busy! There have been lots of people to meet and lots of autographs to sign, but that’s great. This is my home Grand Prix and I’m loving it. I’d love to finish in the points in tomorrow’s race, but I think it will be hard because the people ahead of me on the grid are very fast. I will do my best!
