AT&T Williams are the karaoke kings of the pitlane. The race team headed to a karaoke bar this evening where our very own dancing queens, Jo Turley and Jennie Wagstaff, hogged the mike for four hours. Their favourite tune? It had to be “Big in Japan”.
With dusk falling as early as 6pm at Fuji Speedway, Nico Rosberg has been wiling away the long evenings at his computer. Not working, you understand: playing poker. He refuses to say whether he’s up or down, which can only point to one thing…
There is speculation in the Fuji paddock that the Senna name will be returning to Formula One next year. Bruno Senna, nephew of the late, great Ayrton, is in talks with Honda and Toro Rosso about a race seat for next year. An announcement is expected at the Brazilian Grand Prix next month.
Fuji Speedway is owned by Toyota, so you might have thought their race team would be staying in the plushest accommodation this weekend. Not so! Their hard working bolts are being put up at Gotenba’s toilet factory, their digs usually occupied by the plant’s workers and visiting salesmen.
