Kazuki's Japanese Blog: Friday
Posted on Friday 10 Oct 2008 and tagged with kazuki, blog, japan.
I was racing in the GP2 Series finale in Valencia this time last year, so today marked my first laps of Fuji Speedway in a Formula One car. It was awesome to be out there in front of the Japanese fans; thank you everyone for your support.
From a performance point of view, it went pretty well too. The car was quite competitive in both practice sessions and we found a lot of time on new tyres this afternoon when I set the seventh fastest time. We now need to maintain that level of performance for the remainder of the weekend.
On a slightly different note, I want to let my Japanese fans know about a Philips PR day that I’m doing in Tokyo on Monday. I'll be visiting the Yodobashi Camera electronics store in Akihabara at 11:30am, the BIC Camera in Yurakucho at 1:00pm and at 3pm I’ll be answering questions and taking part in a Philips shavers game at the LaQua Garden Stage in Tokyo Dome City. Every hour from 10.30am Philips will be holding a quiz at LaQua Garden Stage, where you can win some great AT&T Williams and Philips prizes, so come along: there's no entrance fee!
