Kazuki's Spa Blog: Friday

It was quite tricky out there today. Mixed weather conditions in the afternoon meant that we weren’t able to complete our planned programme and I found it difficult to get into a good rhythm in the cockpit. The track wasn’t quite wet enough for wet weather tyres in session two, but the car was dancing around all over the place – particularly over the kerbs – and you had to be very careful.
Some of the angles that I found myself at in the FW30 reminded me of the Strictly Come Dancing crew that I met earlier in the week. I was training at the Riverside Esporta in London on Monday when the next participants from the BBC’s hit show turned up for a training session. I was doing my usual cardio work at the time and they started dancing around in leotards. All I’ll say is that the professional dancers are all very agile!
Looking ahead to tomorrow, it would be good to have a dry final practice session so that we can finalise the settings on the car and give ourselves every opportunity of getting a good grip position in qualifying.
