Kazuki's French Blog: Friday

One of the charms of Magny-Cours is that there aren’t any airports nearby. As a result, this part of rural France is left relatively free of budget airline passengers and the locals seem less affected by the outside world. Farming is what happens here, aside from those people employed at the track, of course!
I really enjoy the pace of life down here. The weather’s been good, people in the team have been relaxed and our progress during today’s practice sessions was promising. Mind you, I wasn’t nearly as relaxed on Tuesday evening when leaving Heathrow for Paris.
I was so busy chatting to my girlfriend after checking-in that I missed my flight! That’s when you find yourself thankful that Heathrow is the busiest airport in the world and that you don’t live in the middle of nowhere like Magny-Cours!
