You can take the boy out of the countryside, but you can’t take the countryside out of the boy. Despite loving his four days in New York en route to this race, Kazuki Nakajima sat on the fence yesterday when asked whether he preferred city or country life – “both”, he said.

Ex-Williams F1 star Juan Pablo Montoya should have won a World Championship, according to Williams F1's Technical Director, Sam Michael. “He definitely left Formula One too early,” says Sam. “He was a huge talent and had incredible race craft.” You reading this, Juan?

AT&T Williams has a good relationship with its different paddock food suppliers around the world, but everyone in the team was taken aback yesterday when Giovanni (John to his mates) presented us with a “thank you” cake for 10 years of loyalty. It's been a pleasure, John!

On the subject of food, this is not a good weekend to be a lobster. Williams F1’s catering staff have served up 40 so far, and they expect to dish up 20 more on raceday. What is it about our Canadian guests and their love of shellfish?
