iWitness in Monaco: Sunday

Nico Rosberg is a bit sore, but otherwise he’s fine following his monster shunt at the Swimming Pool chicane on lap 62. He walked away from his wrecked FW30 after the 100mph impact, but was taken to Monaco’s Princess Grace hospital for precautionary checks. Shortly before 7pm he was released to go home, but there was a stipulation from the doctor: he wasn’t to attend the Amber Lounge party!
AT&T Williams’ press officer, Silvia Hoffer, drove to the Monaco Grand Prix and without the limitations of a single suitcase, she brought a varied wardrobe to the race. Included in her gear were 12 pairs of shoes, an Indian outfit and a Chinese outfit. “That’s not all,” says Silvia. “I also brought my iron and ironing board!” Sometimes, choice can be a bad thing.
The Formula One paddock was awash with rumours about the latest ‘belle’ in Lewis Hamilton’s life. Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls pop group, was introduced to the F1 paddock as Lewis’s “special guest” today. How “special”, we wondered…
