After a busy day of media commitments and engineering briefings, there’s no better way to relax than in a good Japanese restaurant. I had dinner tonight in the new Nobu restaurant in the Crown Towers Hotel (where I am staying - you can nearly see my room if you click on www.crowntowers.au and count your way up seventeen floors - my room's on the extreme right hand side). Anyway, the food was excellent..... lots of sushi, but no Asahi unfortunately. It was the perfect way to prepare for the weekend.
What I need now is a good night’s sleep before the on-track action starts tomorrow. I know Albert Park from last year, when I drove during the first free practice session, and I’m looking forward to getting started. On a racing weekend, I normally aim to be in bed by 10 o'clock, but it's difficult to train yourself to go to sleep especially when you have plenty on your mind. I might even drive a lap in my sleep by way of preparation!
