The AT&T Williams team is once again proud to confirm that it will be taking part in this year’s Moscow City Racing, to be held in the Russian capital on Sunday 19th July. AT&T Williams race driver, Kazuki Nakajima, will represent the team in the second event of its kind to be held in Moscow and will pilot a 2007 Williams-Toyota FW29 around a course which will take in iconic Russian landmarks including the Kremlin and Red Square.

The AT&T Williams team were the first Formula One outfit to run a car in Russia when Kazuki’s team mate, Nico Rosberg, wowed a capacity crowd at the 2008 Moscow City Racing, the country’s first major international sporting event to close the city’s streets since it staged the Olympic Games in 1980.

Looking ahead to the demonstration run, Kazuki commented, “I feel honoured to have been invited to participate in this year’s Moscow City Racing. I know the team were made to feel really welcome last time we visited, so I’m looking forward to taking over the driving seat from Nico and experiencing such a fantastic opportunity myself. I’ve driven the car around the streets of Rio, but I know driving around the Kremlin and Red Square will be an experience like no other. This will be my first visit to Russia as well so I can’t wait to have a look around. Of all the places we visit during a Formula One season, Moscow has been the destination I’ve looked forward to most this year. The country has a rich culture and I’m hoping to experience as much as I can of it while I’m in the city. More than that, I’m just really looking forward to showing the audience how impressive Formula One cars really are!”
