AT&T Williams launched its ‘Race to Learn’ initiative in Grove this afternoon. The programme, which is aimed at school children aged between nine and 11 – also known as key stage 2 – is designed to encourage kids to take up science and engineering. As a carrot, AT&T Williams is offering regular trips around its factory – not a bad field trip, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Kazuki Nakajima was pulled out of a technical debrief early on Saturday afternoon for a knock about with Japanese baseball star Atsuya Furuta. Kazuki wowed onlookers – and particularly the cameraman at Fuji TV – with his timing, and he showed particularly good balance when standing on one leg while acting as the pitcher. A mis-spent youth?

Former Williams World Champion Jacques Villeneuve was spotted in the team’s motorhome this afternoon. It’s the Canadian’s second visit to a Grand Prix in three races; is he looking for a drive? “I’ve just come to catch up with some old friends,” he said.
