Race drivers just have to turn up to a race track every fortnight, put their overalls on, get in the car and drive pretty fast for a few laps, don't they? Don't believe it.

A Formula One driver not only has to be a wizard on the race track and an expert in mechanical engineering, he also has countless marketing and media duties to fulfil for the team's partners, i.e the people that allow the teams to go racing. Over a year, a driver can do upto 25 driver appearances away from the race track, together with a host of media work, all of which also have to be co-ordinated into a brutal training routine.

To give you a brief glimpse into the life of a racing driver away from the race track, we filmed our race drivers, Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima, on a promotional day just ahead of this year's British Grand Prix for our latest WF1TV film.
